My points values consist of 25 points a day, which is really pretty awesome. Once I lose some I will be only allowed 23 points a day.....still manageable, I just have to make sure I get enough exercise in to bank up some points for extra snacks on weekend if needed. The weather is beautiful outside today, sunny 73 degrees, slight breeze.........almost feels like fall.......who would know its only the beginning of summer! Most all the vegetables are starting to produce in the garden now. Green Beans, zucchini, onions, bell peppers, japalenos, cushaw squash, sunflowers, tomatoes, broccoli, cherry tomatoes....and more. All the fruit trees produced fruit this year too!! We have grapes, pears, plums and 5 or 6 different kinds of apples! Vey happy with the garden and orchard this year. I plan to get out and paint up my veggie stand this weekend and get it ready for selling season. Ive already had ppl asking when i will have it up lol This year though I plan to set out a cookbook, homemade preserves, homemade zucchini bread and other homemade items and home grown plant/ veggie/ flower starts. I love this time of year, so much to do to keep busy :)

Weight Loss Journey~37 pounds to lose

Today Ive started my weight watchers weight loss journey. I have 37 pounds to lose and im ready to say goodbye to it! I am going to be weighing in on Mondays...doing this all at home with the help of my old weight watchers tools. Stocked up on videos and have my journal all ready to go. This time I dont have 15 other people pulling at me and using up my energy on their problems, instead this time, I can focus on MINE!. Im very excited about this because im doing this for ME. We just got the good news that we are expecting our first grandchild in February--im only 39, so being a young grandma will be awesome! However, I want to be in good shape, have energy and desire to go do things! This is my time........this is my journey........this is it!

The Road Less Traveled....

Sometimes even God wants us to take the road less traveled...do what your heart tells you to.......and feel good about what kind of person you are. Even if it means inconveniencing yourself, doing the right thing for someone in need will fill you with undescribeable abundance. Far too many times in life there are those out there that do not wish to "tip the boat" ....sometimes you just have to stand up for whats right no matter who gets mad at you....stay strong in your beliefs and pray that the other side will see whats right. I too find myself taking the road that everyone else takes and it gets boring.......its cookie cutter........and its NOT ALWAYS the right way........it ends up being the "norm". Today, I took the road less traveled and made a difference in someones life...It may have only been a small token, but its the small tokens that add up to the big piggy bank in those less fortuneate eyes. To see a smile from an innocent soul is worth all the gold at the end of the rainbow........Thank you God for reminding me that the road less traveled is filled with joy :) One small jesture from me, led to a big difference in a young persons life :)

Counting Your Blessings

Sometimes everyday life can get the best of you.....you stress...you worry...you stress some more...and in the end it gets you nowhere. In the past two years we have overcome more hurdles and climbed mountains I never thought Id be able to climb. Where there is a will, there is a way! Strong will and determination go further than one realizes. The power of positivity is amazing. I may not be made of money, but at times I feel like the riches woman alive. I have my health, I have my kids, and I have an inner strength that when its flame gets sparked, a wildfire is unleashed! My words of wisdom for the day today are: Count your Blessings~Find your Flame!!!

Holidays upon us

Its getting closer and closer to Christmas!!!!!!!! This year money is so tight......and you know what I DONT CARE!!!! All our gifts are going to be second hand bought or homemade! We decided off the bat that money was not going to be a part of Christmas this year! I am making gift baskets out of wicker baskets I have round the house and filling them with fresh baked bread, cookies and applebutter! Ive made alot of christmas ornaments and done alot of knitting....(some will be getting scarves!!!! ha ha ha) and i have so far enjoyed this season more than alot of christmas past! I hope that everyone can regain the Christmas spirit and pull together and help your neighbors that may be in need of food etc. If we all watch out for eachother we can make it through these hard times! Happy Holidays!
